1/3 of the Way There!!!

As of February 16, 2013, I have practiced over 3,333 hours.  That means I am 1/3 of the way to my goal!

  1. I just read an interview with violist (and recent Grammy winner!), Kim Kashkashian. She originally wanted to play clarinet. Her family already had a violin, though, so they said she had to play violin. She studied violin and then at Interlochen switched over to viola---which was in the range she originally preferred.

    Anyhow---made me think of you!

  2. A goal of 10,000 hours is a great place to start, and you're so much farther along than I was at your age. Your playing sounds great, and if you keep up this work ethic, you'll definitely go places. Keep it up!

  5. I don't think they do that. Besides, it would be a great opportunity to learn the trumpet...or the bugle...

    But maybe it's better not think about losing fingers!
